The people who form Dreams & Adventures sympathize with all the organizations that go out of their way for the welfare of the weakest and most disadvantaged and we carry out certain activism in defense of the most disadvantaged: the animals and those who love and care the most: children.
Animal protection.
We believe that it is a mistake to harm animals. Animals should not be dinner, clothing or anything else for the use and enjoyment of humans; Animals are individuals that can feel pain and suffering, just like us. Actually, we are all animals but of different species and we should all have the same right to a decent life. We think that we all have the power to change the world and make a big difference for them, and we like to help raise awareness and end this common and widespread animal abuse.
Meet Bailey’s, our friend.
Baileys is the abandoned dog that we adopted from a shelter in Tarragona. They found him extremely thin and very much afraid. We have offered Baileys our home, our office, our company, and our food. We have taught him to live together, to share, to climb stairs, to sail on a sailboat and to swim. Baileys would love to accompany us to all the events, but we can not always take it with us.
We are Peta 2 donors.
Peta 2 is a group of animal rights advocates who peacefully confront anyone who abuses animals. From schools that do not allow their students the option of not dissecting fashion designers who design garments using the skin of animals, to the giants of fast food who refuse to treat their animals correctly. Peta 2 is the largest group of animal rights advocates in the world. More information in Peta2
We are affiliated with PACMA
Because this is how we are defending the animals through the work that PACMA develops. PACMA is financed exclusively through the donations and fees of its members; therefore, the possibility of carrying out this work depends on the contributions of the same. In addition, as members, we can participate in the assemblies where the course of the game is decided. The Animalist Party Against Animal Mistreatment (PACMA) was created in 2003. It is the only Spanish political party that defends the rights of all animals. Its headquarters is located in Madrid and currently has a presence, through its delegations, in almost all of the autonomous communities of Spain. Since its creation, the PACMA has been presented to all the electoral appointments that have been held in Spain (municipal, regional, general and European), achieving in each new commission an outstanding increase in votes.
We were in Tordesillas to try to defend the bull from La Vega.
We are lovers of bulls. Actually of all animals. We do not like animal abuse. We like the Toro de la Vega, but not the Tournament. Toro de la Vega Tournament is a bullfighting event of medieval origin, held in the Spanish town of Tordesillas, declared a tourist interest party in 1980 and a traditional bullfighting show in 1999.
The tournament consists of the hunting or pursuit of a bull by dozens of picadores and spearmen, in which some of the latter attempt to spear the res to death, after it has been released near the town square and driven by the runners and fans up to the fertile plain of the Douro River, where the tournament begins.
We were there, to complain publicly about this barbarity and to try to stop with our bodies cutting the way.
We were also in Algemesí to protest and boycott the calves
The becerradas are produced in the town of Algemesí, Valencia, Spain. It consists of bullfighting and killing small calves by inexperienced waiters, which means that if it is already cruel in itself, the torture to which they are subjected is much greater. Due to their inexperience, they are subjected to several attempts to achieve their death by prolonging their agony. We were there to say “Enough”.
We are partners and economic sponsors of the Gaia Sanctuary.
The Gaia sanctuary is a refuge for animals considered as a farm. A place where animals that have been exploited, mistreated or abandoned, receive the necessary care to have a decent life for the rest of their lives. The sanctuary is located in Camprodón (Girona) in a privileged enclave, surrounded by forests, rivers, and mountains. The tranquility of the place is ideal so that the non-human animals that arrive here, most of them in poor conditions, have a quick recovery and live in peace and harmony. The mission of the Gaia Sanctuary is to cover your needs for food, veterinary and emotional care. Provide adequate facilities for each individual, which gives them security, but at the same time, allowing them to have a life as natural as possible. More information in Gaya Sanctuary.
We care about the dozens of dogs that live in the surroundings of our house in farms imprisoned or tied in chains.
It all started when Andreu Mateu, our founder, doing mountain bike on the mountain roads, noticed a large number of dogs that live in these country houses locked in cages or tied to a chain. Following this, we consulted the legislation and seeing that it was not legal, we decided to go and talk with the owners of those houses so that they could give up their practices of animal abuse.
And we are co-sponsors of the movie “Santa Fiesta”.
Santa Fiesta is the film that highlights the more than 60,000 animals that are mistreated annually during various religious festivals that are celebrated throughout Spain where bulls, geese, pigeons, pigs, horses and all kinds of animals are victims of bloody practices and full of violence.
Child protection.
We collaborate with “Soñar despierto”.
Soñar despierto is an organization that has a clear objective: to improve tomorrow’s society by supporting children and young people today. They collaborate in the social integration of minors and young people living in shelters, residential centers, and open centers from marginal environments and unstructured families through a socio-educational project. They establish links with children and young people through the figure of the volunteer, who becomes a reference person for them.
For several years we have been offering logistical support in some events as well as recently we delivered 80 bicycles financed by the EDP company as gifts to children for the Christmas party.
Kalipay Negrense Foundation
Kalipay Negrense Foundation Inc., is a non-profit foundation that works for the causes of disadvantaged children – the homeless, physically and sexually abused, malnourished, school and special children. It is expected to break the cycle of hopelessness in the lives of disadvantaged children, providing shelter and food, health and counseling and introduction to education. The image of hopeless, homeless people who work and live on the streets is a family sight. Forced on the street by the spirit – the destruction of poverty and dysfunction of the family – the children suffer the most.
Kalipay Negrense Foundation Inc. was conceptualized by our friend Anna C. Balcells whom we met when she was commercial director of the Hotel Arts of Barcelona, and some friends. In 2007 it was established as an urgent and concrete response to the growing number of abused and neglected children in Negros Occidental (Philippines).
We love the collective of the Geu Be association
A group of parents, mothers, and relatives with a disabled youth, saw the need to associate because, in Durangaldea, where they live, there was nothing to cover the special needs of their children. They got together, talked, organized, and with the help of two wonderful volunteers, José and Gontzal, thanks to them who knew how to move in this world of associations and volunteering, they began the journey of what is now Geu Be. Improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and generalized support needs, taking as indicators of quality of life.
We met the wonderful people of Geube, following a conference that Andreu Mateu, our founder, went to do in Durango. From there, we made a contribution to purchase a special van that they needed, then we invited the children to visit Barcelona and we were with them during this trip. We still keep an enormous love and friendship with everyone and we keep in touch. Recently, Andreu had the opportunity to meet them again in Salou.

John Talabot School
John Talabot School is a secular and plural educational center, arranged with the “Generalitat de Catalunya”. We have only one group per level, which allows us to know and serve each of our students. Throughout their school life, we collaborate in their development as people: we motivate them to have an illusion to learn, we teach them to think, to decide and to be aware of their abilities.
We believe that in the trajectory of each human life there are two decisive factors: the possibilities of each person and their relationships with the social context. With this spirit, we offer our students the cultural richness of growing and learning in a trilingual environment.
